It is our pleasure to invite you to attend a two day workshop on
May 16-17, 2007, at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA 16803, hosted by the Penn State particle astrophysics group.
The intent is to bring together key experts to review recent advances and to examine future prospects for Auger, IceCube, ACTs, GLAST/Agile and other experiments aimed at understanding the nature of the highest energy sources in the Universe. The emphasis will be on the confrontation between physical models and the vast array of new data that is accumulating. There will be five major review talks, and a limited number of contributed talks, with ample time reserved for discussion.
A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at the Atherton Hotel (ph: 800-832-0132; $95/single, $105/double) and Days Inn (ph: 814-238-8454; $77 single or double). These rooms will be held until April 15. Both hotels are walking distance to campus.
Penn State is served by the State College airport (SCE), a 10 minute taxi ride to the university, with flights by United, USAir, Delta and Northwest. By car, State College is a 3-4 hour drive from Washington DC, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore or New York. If you are interested in attending and would like to receive updated announcements with further details, please email Ms. Randi Neshteruk (rxh1@psu.edu).
We look forward to seeing you at Penn State.
